How do I access this service?
You can access the service anywhere in the world via the net at www.handheld-media.com Once registered simply log in using your username and password. The service may be used from a PC or Mac using any standard web browser.
How long does it take to deliver the messages?
Usually messages are delivered within a few seconds of being sent. We use tier 1 message services to ensure the quickest delivery. The total time taken to deliver your messages will depend on the number that you are sending. For instance, sending 20 messages will only take a few seconds but sending 2000 messages make take up to 20 minutes to complete.
How long can my messages be?
Messages can contain up to 160 characters.
Is there a limit to the number of messages I can send at once?
There is no limit to the number of messages that you can send at one time.
How can I pay for the service?
You can buy bulk message packages directly from our website using a credit card or apply for an account subject to credit terms and conditions.
What is the originator used for?
The originator will determine who your messages come from and will be displayed on the recipients phone. You can use up to 11 characters for this. If you use a name as your originator, e.g. 'Handheld' recipients will not be able to reply directly to that message. You can use a UK mobile phone number as an originator and any replies to your message will come to that phone. However you must register your mobile number with us and send back the unique pin number generated before you can use this feature. This ensures replies are sent to the correct handset.
What is a registered personal number?
A registered personal number is a number of a UK mobile that you can register with us in order to use it as an originator. Once registered and confirmed by pin number you can use this number to receive replies to messages sent if required. You can register as many numbers as you require.
